Fuck RyanAir.

Girona is not in Barcelona. Actually, it's an hour and 10 mins away-which equals a 125 euro cab ride. I was in that awful airport for about 25 hours. The "customer service" is non-existant while the whole airport is waiting in line because our flights are cancelled. Never Again. The "budget" airline cost me almost 300 euros. Bastards.

On a better note,
Florence is so beautiful.

I just got in at about 2:30 am last night, at the same time conincidentally, as two of my roomates. The apartment is very, very nice. My favorite part are the remnants of fresco paintings on the high ceilings. I'm sharing a room with another girl, Jen (very nice) and Helena (very nice) has the former living room-now bedroom because Jessica (kind of off-maybe on drugs?? haha) believed she had a single room and moved one of the beds into the living room. I found wi-fi to boost off of some unknowing italian if I'm in my room :)

My first class was today. I learned so much already... here are some tidbits I remember:
The Duomo took 200 years to build.
It was designed by 3 different people.
The city of Florence had 144 tower houses in a (see map) very small area.
The via del Roma leads to Rome.
Florence was founded in 54 B.C.
Barbarian really means foriegner.

I just bought a bottle of Chianti for 2.50 euros!
So now, I think I will find something to eat for dinner, enjoy a glass of wine and get ready for Progetto Barenboim at the Teatro Comunale! Woo Hoo!
